Ginocello — A Journey, Elegantly Bottled
Ginocello is a contemporary citrus liqueur born from spontaneity, craftsmanship, and celebration. Rooted in London and inspired by moments worth remembering, Ginocello brings together the brightness of fresh lemon with the elegance of fine gin.
But Ginocello was never planned.
It was discovered.
From its earliest days, Ginocello was enjoyed not only as a chilled serve, but also as a warming hot drink—quietly poured, shared, and refined behind the bar. Since 2025, Ginocello hot drinks have been served and enjoyed during winter evenings, late-night conversations, and celebratory moments, long before the brand was formally bottled.
The Origin of Ginocello
Ginocello was born in London on New Year’s Eve 2012, during one of the city’s most glamorous celebrations—an exclusive event hosted by the world-famous Miss Moneypenny’s at a signature boutique hotel.
Amid the excitement of the evening, a quiet moment behind the bar sparked something unexpected.
A whole lemon was placed into a blender.
A splash of gin followed, softened with a touch of sugar syrup.
No measurements. No rules. Just curiosity.
Once blended and carefully filtered, the result was fresh, vibrant, and surprisingly refined. Served first on its own, then elevated in a champagne glass with soda water, the drink revealed a rare balance of brightness and elegance.
It was wonderful.
As friends gathered to taste it, one question sealed its future:
“Gin or Cello?”
The answer was both.
And Gin O Cello — Ginocello was born.
A Natural Evolution (2012–2025)
2012
The drink is created, named, and shared. What began as a spontaneous experiment quickly became a favourite behind the bar—served chilled, lengthened, and as a warming hot drink during colder months. Ginocello became something people asked for, remembered, and returned to.
2012–2019
Ginocello lived informally and organically. Shared on-trade, behind the bar, and among friends, it developed a quiet reputation as something different—vibrant, balanced, and effortlessly elegant. Its hot serve became a winter ritual, enjoyed alongside conversation rather than ceremony.
2020–2023
Like many stories, Ginocello paused during the global slowdown. Momentum eased, attention shifted elsewhere—but the idea never faded.
2024–2025
A clear decision was made: to formalise, scale, and own the brand properly.
Ginocello had earned its place.
In December 2025, the Ginocello brand took its next defining step with the registration of its official domains—securing the name, pronunciation, and identity for the future.
Originally shared behind the bar, Ginocello is now being produced and bottled for wider release.
